VPN (Twingate)

Twingate is our secure remote access solution. Install the client on your device, sign in with your company credentials, and connect to access internal services.

Prerequisites

  • Company Twingate network invite or access. If you don’t have it, ask your manager or IT.
  • Your work email for SSO sign-in.

Download the Twingate app

  • Go to the official download page: https://www.twingate.com/download
  • Select your platform and download the installer.

macOS post-install steps

  • Follow the on-screen prompts; the installer will guide you through these steps.
  • Allow notifications when prompted.
  • Approve Configure VPN
  • Approve the Twingate system extension in General Login Items & Extensions select Twingate i icon and enable network extension

Connect and sign in

  • Click Continue to finish setup.
  • When prompted to connect to a network, type cred.
  • Check "Join on Startup" if you want the client to auto-connect.
  • Click Join Network. Your browser will open—select "Sign in with Google Workspace".
  • After successful SSO, the Twingate client will connect.

Accessing internal resources

  • To connect to a private IP (e.g., 10.40.7.3 or 192.168.0.9), ensure you use the correct port.
  • Note: The VPN does not change your public IP address.

Security tips

  • Disconnect when you no longer need internal access.
  • Keep the Twingate client updated for security fixes and improvements.
